Description
Onreltea (Brimonidine) is a topical agent. It is typically used for the topical treatment of persistent (non transient) erythema (redness) of rosacea (a chronic inflammatory skin disorder typically involving the nose, forehead, and chin that is characterized especially by redness, flushing) by adults 18 years and older. It may also have other uses.

Onreltea (Brimonidine) is typically applied once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact the pharmacist. Apply smoothly and evenly as a thin layer across the entire face (central forehead, each cheek, nose, and chin) avoiding the eyes and lips. Wash hands immediately after applying. Do not apply to open wounds or irritated skin. For external use only, not intended for intravaginal, ophthalmic (eye), or oral use. WARNING: Intermittent flushing (increased frequency or new onset) occurring ~30 minutes to several hours after application has been observed, symptoms appear to resolve following discontinuation of therapy. In addition to its desired action, Onreltea (Brimonidine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause acne, dry mouth, dry skin It may cause feeling cold in the hands and feet, headache It may cause itching, flushing Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to brimonidine or any component of the formulation. Neonates and infants (<2 years) Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Onreltea (Brimonidine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
