Description
PMS Carvedilol (Carvedilol) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) as well as heart failure. It may also have other uses.

PMS Carvedilol (Carvedilol) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with food to minimize the risk of orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down) WARNING: Bradycardia (slow heart rate) may be observed more frequently in elderly patients (>65 years of age), dosage reductions may be necessary. In addition to its desired action, PMS Carvedilol (Carvedilol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal pain, back pain, constipation, diarrhea It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache It may cause heartburn, and low blood pressure, causing dizziness or fainting when rising from a sitting or lying position Contraindications: Serious hypersensitivity to carvedilol or any component of the formulation, decompensated cardiac failure requiring intravenous inotropic therapy (heart disease), bronchial asthma or related bronchospastic conditions (lung diseases), second- or third-degree AV block (heart problem), sick sinus syndrome (a disease in which the heart's natural pacemaker becomes damaged and is no longer able to generate normal heartbeats at the normal rate), and severe bradycardia, which is a slow heart rate (except in patients with a functioning artificial pacemaker), cardiogenic shock (a life-threatening condition in which your heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs), severe hepatic (liver) impairment Taking PMS Carvedilol (Carvedilol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PMS Carvedilol (Carvedilol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
