Description
Apo Cefepime (Cefepime) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria including pneumonia (lung disease), and skin, urinary tract, and kidney infections. Cefepime injection is used in combination with metronidazole (Flagyl) to treat abdominal (stomach area) infections. It may also have other uses.

Apo Cefepime (Cefepime) is typically used as directed by your doctor. Your doctor or nurse will administer Apo Cefepime (Cefepime) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with a history of seizure disorders. Prolonged use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection (additional infection) In addition to its desired action, Apo Cefepime (Cefepime) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause skin rash, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, increased liver enzymes (liver damage) It may cause hypersensitivity reactions (in patients with a history of penicillin allergy) It may cause back, leg, or stomach pains. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cefepime, other cephalosporins, penicillins, other beta-lactam antibiotics, or any component of the formulation Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Cefepime (Cefepime) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
