Description

Apo Cyclobenzaprine (Cyclobenzaprine) is a skeletal muscle relaxant agent. It is typically used short-term to treat muscle spasms. It is usually used along with rest and physical therapy. It works by helping to relax the muscles. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Apo Cyclobenzaprine (Cyclobenzaprine) is typically used three times per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to meals. Do not take this drug for more than 3 weeks without talking to your doctor.
WARNING: Limit therapy to 2-3 weeks, efficacy has not been established for longer periods of use. Use with caution in patients with mild liver impairment, with increased intraocular pressure (pressure in the eye), or patients with urinary hesitancy (difficulty starting or maintaining a stream of urine). Patients must be cautioned about performing tasks which require mental alertness (e.g., operating machinery or driving). In addition to its desired action, Apo Cyclobenzaprine (Cyclobenzaprine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue, constipation, drowsiness, nausea, heartburn It may cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, unpleasant taste, blurred vision It may cause upper respiratory tract infections (coughing, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain)
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cyclobenzaprine or any component of the formulation, during or within 14 days of MAO inhibitors (Selegiline and similar agents), hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid, a gland in the neck, when your thyroid gland produces too much of the hormone thyroxine), cardiac (heart) problems.
Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
