Description

Jamp Dimenhydrinate (Dimenhydrinate) is an anti-emetic agent. It is typically used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to motion sickness. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Jamp Dimenhydrinate (Dimenhydrinate) is typically given to adults and children over 12 years of age as 1 or 2 tablets every 4 hours as needed. Children aged 6 to 12 years should take 1/2 or 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours as needed. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. The first dose should be taken at least 30 minutes and preferably 1 or 2 hours before traveling. It can be taken with or without food. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist.

WARNING: Adults and children over 12 should not use more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. Children between the ages of 6 to 12 should not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Drowsiness may occur, therefore do not drive or engage in activities requiring alertness. Excitability may occur, especially in children. Avoid alcoholic drinks as they may add to the side effects of dimenhydrinate. This medication may also cause the symptoms of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) to become worse.

In addition to its desired action, Jamp Dimenhydrinate (Dimenhydrinate) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause constipation, dry mouth, or lack of energy.
It may cause dizziness or drowsiness.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or any component of the formulation, chronic lung diseases, patients who have difficulty passing urine due to an enlarged prostate (prostate hypertrophy), glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye).

Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.Jamp Dimenhydrinate (Dimenhydrinate)
