Jamp Dimenhydrinate elixir (Dimenhydrinate)

Description

Jamp Dimenhydrinate elixir (Dimenhydrinate) is an anti-emetic agent. It is typically used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to motion sickness. It may also have other uses.

Jamp Dimenhydrinate elixir (Dimenhydrinate) is typically given to children between the ages of 6 and 11 as 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 mL) every 4 to 6 hours. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for your child. The first dose should be taken at least 30 minutes and preferably 1 or 2 hours before traveling. It can be taken with or without food. Use an oral syringe to measure each dose of the liquid, as it gives a more accurate measurement than household teaspoons. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist.
 
WARNING: Drowsiness may occur. Excitability may occur, especially in children. 
 
In addition to its desired action, Jamp Dimenhydrinate elixir (Dimenhydrinate) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause constipation, dry mouth, or lack of energy.
It may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
 
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or any component of the formulation, chronic lung diseases, patients who have difficulty passing urine due to an enlarged prostate (prostate hypertrophy), glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye).Jamp Dimenhydrinate elixir (Dimenhydrinate)
