Description

Juluca (Dolutegravir Rilpivirine) is an antiviral agent. It is typically used to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV, a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated, it can lead to AIDS). It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Juluca (Dolutegravir Rilpivirine) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with a meal.
WARNING: Severe skin and hypersensitivity reactions characterized by rash, and sometimes organ dysfunction, including liver injury, have been reported with the individual components. Discontinue JULUCA immediately if signs or symptoms of severe skin or hypersensitivity reactions develop, as a delay in stopping treatment may result in a life-threatening reaction. In addition to its desired action, Juluca (Dolutegravir Rilpivirine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches, diarrhea, skin reaction, liver problem.
It may cause nausea, decreased appetite, depression.
It may cause hyperglycemia (high level blood sugar level).
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dolutegravir, rilpivirine, or any component of the formulation, concurrent use with some medications (such as dofetilide, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin, rifapentine, dexamethasone, St. John’s wort, esomeprazole, lansoprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole).
Taking Juluca (Dolutegravir Rilpivirine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
