Description

Fucibet (Fusidic Acid Betamethasone) is an antibiotic agent containing a corticosteroid. It is typically used to treat skin diseases including dermatitis (inflammation of the skin), itchy skin, red skin, dry skin, dark colored patches. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Fucibet (Fusidic Acid Betamethasone) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For topical use only, do not use near the eyes.
WARNING: prolonged use may result in superinfection, which is an additional infection (including fungal infections) or antibiotic resistance (antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria develop the ability to survive exposure to antibiotics that were designed to kill them or stop their growth). In addition to its desired action, Fucibet (Fusidic Acid Betamethasone) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause hypersensitivity reaction.
It may cause severe rash, application site pain.
It may cause burning sensation of skin.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to fusidic acid, betamethasone, or any component of the formulation, primary bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infections, systemic fungal infections (overgrowth of fungi in or on the body), skin manifestations in relation to tuberculosis (a bacterial infection) or syphilis (a bacterial infection usually spread by sexual contact), perioral dermatitis (a red rash that circles your mouth), acne rosacea (a chronic skin disease that causes persistent redness over the areas of the face and nose that normally blush).
Taking Fucibet (Fusidic Acid Betamethasone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
