Description
This medicine is an antibiotic agent that contains a corticosteroid. It is typically used to treat infected eczema (a condition that makes your skin red and itchy), and other inflammatory skin conditions. It may also have other uses.

Fucidin H (Fusidic Acid Hydrocortisone) is typically used three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For topical use only, do not use it near the eyes. WARNING: Long-term continuous topical therapy for more than 14 days with FUCIDIN H should be avoided. In addition to its desired action, Fucidin H (Fusidic Acid Hydrocortisone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause burning skin, dry skin. It may cause increased hair growth at application site, itching. It may cause secondary skin infection. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to fusidic acid, hydrocortisone acetate, or any component of the formulation, fungal infections, tuberculosis of the skin (bacterial infection of the skin), syphilitic skin infections (a bacterial infection usually spread by sexual contact), chicken pox (an infectious disease causing a mild fever and a rash), skin eruptions following vaccinations and viral diseases of the skin. Taking Fucidin H (Fusidic Acid Hydrocortisone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Fucidin H (Fusidic Acid Hydrocortisone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
