Description
SDZ Haloperidol (Haloperidol) is an antipsychotic agent. It is typically used to treat schizophrenia (a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally). It may also have other uses.

SDZ Haloperidol (Haloperidol)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer SDZ Haloperidol (Haloperidol) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases (disease that affects the heart or blood vessels). Use with caution in patients receiving anticonvulsant medications (used to control seizures) or with a history of seizures (uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain). Use with caution in patients receiving anticoagulants (medicines that help prevent blood clots). In addition to its desired action, SDZ Haloperidol (Haloperidol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal pain, constipation, dizziness, injection site reaction. It may cause drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, vomiting, weight changes, low blood pressure. It may cause decreased sexual ability, uncontrolled muscle movements, severe allergic reactions. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to haloperidol or any component of the formulation, Parkinson's disease (progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement), severe central nervous system depression (slow brain activity), dementia with Lewy bodies (progressive decline in mental abilities). Taking SDZ Haloperidol (Haloperidol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
