Description

Lancora (Ivabradine) is a heart medication. It is typically used by adults with chronic heart failure (a condition that does not allow the heart to fill or pump properly), to help lower the risk of needing to be hospitalized when symptoms get worse. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Lancora (Ivabradine) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer this drug with food.
WARNING: Ivabradine may cause blurred vision and dizziness or weakness affecting your ability to drive or operate machinery. Use caution when driving or using machines. This medicine may increase your risk for heart rhythm problems, including atrial fibrillation (irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm) and bradycardia (abnormally slow heart action). Check with your doctor right away if you have fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, or trouble breathing while using this medicine.
In addition to its desired action, Lancora (Ivabradine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause bradycardia (abnormally slow heart action), hypertension (high blood pressure).
It may cause blurred vision, headache, muscle cramps.
It may cause nausea, diarrhea constipation, abdominal pain.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Ivabradine or any component of the formulation, some serious heart problems (acute decompensated heart failure, sick sinus syndrome, sinoatrial block, or third-degree AV block), clinically significant bradycardia, severe liver impairment, clinically significant hypotension (low blood pressure), concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Taking Lancora (Ivabradine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
