Description
Xiidra (Lifitegrast) is an anti-inflammatory agent. It is typically to treat symptoms of dry eyes disease. It may also have other uses.

Xiidra (Lifitegrast) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For topical ophthalmic (eye) use only. Remove your contact lenses before using lifitegrast eye drops and wait for at least 15 minutes after using the drops to put the contact lenses back in your eyes. WARNING: XIIDRA may cause transient blurred vision at instillation. If patients experience blurred vision, they should be advised not to drive or operate machinery until their vision has cleared. In addition to its desired action, Xiidra (Lifitegrast) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blurred vision, eye irritation or pain, itchy eyes, red eyes. It may cause headaches, hypersensitivity reaction, unusual taste sensation. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to lifitegrast or any component of the formulation. Taking Xiidra (Lifitegrast) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Xiidra (Lifitegrast) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Xiidra (Lifitegrast) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
