Bio Gaia ProTectis Baby (Live Active Lactobacillus Reuten Protectis) is a probiotic agent. It is typically used to relieve colic pain (usually it is a sharp, localized gastrointestinal or urinary pain that can arise abruptly, and tends to come and go in spasm like waves). It is also used to treat digestive problems. It may also have other uses.

Bio Gaia ProTectis Baby (Live Active Lactobacillus Reuten Protectis) is given once a day. It is given for infants, children and adults (4 months to 17 years). The recommended daily dose is 5 drops taken all at once. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that works better for your child. Important: Follow label instructions. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Shake well for 10 seconds before each use to mix the bacterial culture with the oil. We recommend giving the drops with a spoon. WARNING: Do not add to hot beverages or food as it may damage live bacteria. Avoid contact of this probiotic with liquids such as saliva and water. The opened vial should be used within 3 months. In addition to its intended action, this medication may cause some side effects, including: It may cause a temporary increase in gas, bloating (a condition in which your stomach is full and tight, often due to gas), constipation, and thirst (need to drink water). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the formulation. Do not use in case of a skin condition affecting the scalp. Do not use in case of hair loss due to a specific disease.
