Description
Mylan Pantoprazole T (Pantoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor or antisecretory agent. It is typically used for gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive or nonerosive, and for long-term treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions (increased secretion of stomach acid), such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It may also have other uses.

Mylan Pantoprazole T (Pantoprazole)'s dosage depends on the condition, it is usually given once daily in the usual range (20 mg - 40 mg). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer 30 to 60 minutes before a meal. WARNING: Relief of symptoms does not preclude the presence of a gastric malignancy or cancer, proton pump inhibitor agent like pantoprazole may diminish the therapeutic effect of clopidogrel, however pantoprazole diminish clopidogrel's affect the lowest compared to other agents, but it is still better to space the two medications by12 hours. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Mylan Pantoprazole T (Pantoprazole) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause fractures, stomach infections, decrease in magnesium levels, and vitamin B12 deficiency. It may cause interstitial nephritis (kidney disorder in which the spaces between the kidney tubules become swollen (inflamed)) It may cause headaches, increased in triglycerides levels. It may cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence (gas), vomiting and nausea. It may cause arthralgia (joint pain), myalgia (pain in the muscles). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity manifested by anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), anaphylactic shock, angioedema (water retention, bronchospasm) to pantoprazole, other substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitors, or any component of the formulation, in combination with rilpivirine-containing products. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Mylan Pantoprazole T (Pantoprazole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
