Description
Apo Pramipexole (Pramipexole) is an antiparkinsonian agent. It is typically used to treat Parkinson’s disease and moderate to severe restless legs syndrome (uncontrollable urge to move your legs). Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder that leads to shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination. It may also have other uses.

Apo Pramipexole (Pramipexole) is typically given once or three times a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow the whole tablet with a full glass of water after meals to decrease nausea. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. Do not crush, break, or chew. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Pramipexole may increase the risk of compulsive behaviors and/or loss of impulse control. It may cause psychotic effects (e.g., hallucinations, delusions, confusion, agitation). This medication may cause a potentially fatal syndrome called neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS). Symptoms include high fever, muscle stiffness, confusion or loss of consciousness, sweating, racing or irregular heartbeat, or fainting. Pramipexole may cause withdrawal symptoms upon treatment discontinuation that resemble NMS symptoms. Pramipexole can cause sudden onset of sleep or sleep attacks. Sudden sleep can occur without warning or drowsiness. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease (dose may be adjusted). In addition to its desired action, Apo Pramipexole (Pramipexole) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down), drowsiness, or dizziness. It may cause insomnia, abnormal dreams, or hallucinations. It may cause nausea, constipation, dry mouth, or loss of appetite. It may cause swelling of the legs or arms. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Pramipexole or any other component of the formulation. Taking Apo Pramipexole (Pramipexole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Pramipexole (Pramipexole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
