Description
SDZ Silodosin (Silodosin) helps relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. It is typically used to improve urination in men with benign prostate hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). It may also have other uses.

SDZ Silodosin (Silodosin) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with a meal. Capsules may be opened and the powder sprinkled onto a tablespoon of applesauce (not hot). The applesauce should be swallowed within 5 minutes without chewing and followed with 8 oz of cool water. Subdividing the capsule contents is not recommended. Do not store for future use. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with mild-to-moderate liver impairment. It is recommended to rule out prostate cancer before beginning therapy. Use with caution in patients with moderate renal (kidney) impairment, dosage adjustment recommended. Use with caution in the elderly. Not indicated for use in women and children. Not intended for use as an antihypertensive drug (to decrease blood pressure) In addition to its desired action, SDZ Silodosin (Silodosin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause dizziness, weakness, headache, sleep problems (insomnia), diarrhea, stomach pain It may cause decreased amount of semen released during sex, abnormal ejaculation, runny or stuffy nose, or sore throat Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to silodosin or any component of the formulation, concurrent use with clarithromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, ritonavir, severe renal (kidney) impairment, severe hepatic (liver) impairment Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. It is not recommended to use this agent in women A treatment with SDZ Silodosin (Silodosin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
