Description
Trimipramine (Trimipramine) is an antidepressant agent. It is typically used for the management of depression. It may also have other uses.

Trimipramine (Trimipramine)'s dosage depends on the condition (The usual maintenance dose is approximately 150 mg to 200 mg daily in divided doses). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to food. Swallow the capsule with a drink of water. WARNING: Antidepressants increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in children, adolescents, and young adults (18 to 24 years of age) with major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders. Do not combine Trimipramine (Trimipramine) with alcohol or other medications (e.g., antidepressants, sleeping pills, anxiety medications) that cause drowsiness because trimipramine can also cause drowsiness and the combination can be dangerous. In addition to its desired action, Trimipramine (Trimipramine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, dryness of mouth. It may cause headache, heartburn, increased appetite, increased sweating. It may cause nausea nausea, tiredness or weakness, trouble sleeping, vomiting. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to trimipramine, any component of the formulation, or other antidepressants, use in a patient during the acute recovery phase of MI (heart attack), use of MAO inhibitors (antidepressants) concurrently or within 14 days of discontinuing either trimipramine or the MAO inhibitor, initiation of trimipramine in a patient receiving linezolid or intravenous methylene blue. Taking Trimipramine (Trimipramine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
