Description
Apo Ambrisentan (Ambrisentan) is a vasodilator agent. It is typically used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary arterial hypertension). It may also have other uses.

Apo Ambrisentan (Ambrisentan) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Swallow tablet whole. Do not split, crush, or chew tablets. Administer with or without food. WARNING: Use not recommended in patients with clinically significant anemia (number of red blood cells is lower than normal, cells that contain hemoglobin which carries oxygen to organs). Use caution in patients with mild liver impairment. Females of reproductive potential must use acceptable methods of contraception during treatment and for 1 month after treatment. Obtain monthly pregnancy tests during treatment and 1 month after discontinuation of treatment. In addition to its desired action, Apo Ambrisentan (Ambrisentan) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause stuffy nose, runny nose, headache It may cause abdominal or stomach pain It may cause vomiting, constipation, peripheral edema (swelling of legs or hands), flushing Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ambrisentan or any component of the formulation, pregnancy, unknown pulmonary fibrosis, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (lung disease) with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the blood vessels that supply the lungs) Taking Apo Ambrisentan (Ambrisentan) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Ambrisentan (Ambrisentan) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
