Description
Apo Amoxi Clav (Amoxicillin Clavulanic Acid) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria responsible for infections of the sinuses (a hollow space in the nose), ears, lungs, skin, and bladder. It may also have other uses.

Apo Amoxi Clav (Amoxicillin Clavulanic Acid) is typically given every 8 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It should be taken with food. Swallow the whole tablet. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Long-term use may cause it not to work anymore in the future (resistance), more bacteria and fungi to grow (superinfection), and bacteria that do not die (resistance). This medication only treats bacterial infections, not viral infections such as the common cold. In the case of kidney disease, the dose should be modified accordingly. In addition to its desired action, Apo Amoxi Clav (Amoxicillin Clavulanic Acid) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting. It may cause fungal infections of the skin, nails, mouth, vagina, or urinary tract. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Amoxicillin or any component of the formulation. Do not use this product if you are allergic to penicillin or antibiotics. Do not use this product if you have a history of liver disease, jaundice (yellow discoloration of skin and/or eyes), or severe kidney disease. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Amoxi Clav (Amoxicillin Clavulanic Acid) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
