Auro Amoxicillin (Amoxicillin)

Description

Auro Amoxicillin (Amoxicillin) is a penicillin antibiotic. It is typically used to treat bacterial infections. It may also be used to prevent endocarditis (inflammation of the heart’s inner lining) after dental procedures or other procedures. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Auro Amoxicillin (Amoxicillin) is typically taken once every 8 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for your child. It may be taken with or without food. Shake well before use. Use an oral syringe to measure each dose as it gives a more accurate measurement than household spoons. It may be mixed with formula, milk, fruit juice, water, ginger ale, or cold drinks. Administer the dose immediately after mixing. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist.

WARNING: Long-term use of Amoxicillin may cause it not to work anymore in the future (resistance), more bacteria and fungi to grow (superinfection), and bacteria that do not die (resistance). Amoxicillin only treats bacterial infections, not viral infections such as the common cold.

In addition to its desired action, Auro Amoxicillin (Amoxicillin) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches.
It may cause diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
It may cause vulvovaginal infection (itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva, burning sensation).
It may cause agitation, anxiety, behavioral changes, confusion, dizziness, or insomnia.

Contraindications: Serious hypersensitivity to Amoxicillin or other antibiotics, or any component of the formulation.
