Description
Apo Metoprolol L (Metoprolol) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and other cardiac diseases. It may also have other uses.

Apo Metoprolol L (Metoprolol) is typically used one to two times per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or immediately following meals. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, with hepatic (liver) impairment and with myasthenia gravis (weakness in the muscles) In addition to its desired action, Apo Metoprolol L (Metoprolol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause slow heart rate (bradycardia), low blood pressure (hypotension) and other cardiac problems It may cause skin rash, diarrhea, depression, dizziness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to metoprolol, any component of the formulation, or other same class medications (beta blockers), second- or third-degree heart block (an abnormal heart rhythm), angina (chest pain), myocardial infarction (cardiac problem) Taking Apo Metoprolol L (Metoprolol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Metoprolol L (Metoprolol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
