Description
Benzamycin (Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat moderate acne. This medication removes excess oil and dries the skin. It may also have other uses.

Benzamycin (Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide) is typically used twice daily, morning and evening. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. For external use only, avoid applying to inside nose, mouth, eyes, and mucous membranes. Apply to clean, dry skin. Wash hands before and after use. WARNING: May bleach hair or colored fabric. Discontinue use if severe skin irritation or redness occurs. Prolonged use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection (additional infection) In addition to its desired action, Benzamycin (Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause skin irritation, redness, peeling, dryness, itching, burning sensation of the skin, swelling of the skin Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to erythromycin, benzoyl peroxide, or any component of the formulation Taking Benzamycin (Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Benzamycin (Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
