Additional information
Bicillin LA (Penicillin G long-acting)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. It is injected into a muscle of the buttocks or the hip. WARNING: Long-term use of Penicillin may cause it not to work anymore in the future (resistance), more bacteria and fungi to grow (superinfection), and bacteria that do not die (resistance). Penicillin only treats bacterial infections, not viral infections such as the common cold. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease and seizure disorders. In addition to its desired action, Bicillin LA (Penicillin G long-acting) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itchiness, swelling, difficulty breathing, and others).
