Description
Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone) is antipsoriatic agent. It is typically used for the topical treatment of psoriasis vulgaris (a chronic inflammatory skin disease). It may also have other uses.

Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Use only on your psoriasis (a chronic inflammatory skin disease) and do not use on skin which does not have psoriasis. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn). Do not put on the face, underarms. WARNING: Applying This medication over large areas of damaged skin, in skin folds, or under dressings that do not breathe, could promote the absorption of betamethasone into the blood. This could cause unwanted effects similar to those that happen after taking oral (by mouth) corticosteroid medications for long periods of time. Use with caution in patients with known or suspected disorders of calcium metabolism. In addition to its desired action, Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause acne or oily skin, burning and itching of skin, delayed healing of skin wounds. It may cause folliculitis (a skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed), hair loss, headache. It may cause burning sensation, skin infection, skin rash. Contraindications: If you are allergic to calcipotriol, betamethasone, or any ingredients of Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone), if you have a disorder related to calcium metabolism, if you have perioral dermatitis (a red rash that circles the mouth), ichthyosis (scaly and dry skin), acne, rosacea (a common skin condition that causes redness and visible blood vessels in your face), or broken skin, if you have severe forms of psoriasis, if you have viral diseases such as herpes simplex (an infection that is caused by a herpes simplex virus), varicella (contagious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus). Taking Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Dovobet (Calcipotriol Betamethasone)
