Description

Entocort Enema (Budesonide) is a corticosteroid. It is typically used to treat diseases caused by inflammation of the colon (large intestine) and rectum (last several inches of the large intestine). It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Entocort Enema (Budesonide) is typically taken once daily at bedtime. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Lie on whichever side is most comfortable, shake the bottle well, and grasp the bottle at the neck where it is most rigid. Carefully insert the nozzle into the rectum. Slowly squeeze the container until it is almost empty. You will not be able to empty the whole bottle. Remove the tip from the rectum. Roll over on your stomach and stay in this position for at least 5 minutes, to allow enough time for the medication to coat the colon. Retain the enema as long as possible, preferably the whole night. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist.
