Description
ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) is an anti-hyperpigmentation agent. It is typically used for the treatment of different short-term hyperpigmented skin conditions. It may also have other uses.

ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) is typically used twice per day and rubbed well on the affected area. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. If no improvement is seen after 2 months ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) should be discontinued and the skin condition should be reassessed. For topical use only, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. WARNING: Hydroquinone may produce exogenous ochronosis with continuous use (progressive asymptomatic hyperpigmentation of gray-blue or blue-black darkening of the skin, erythema, and papules on the sun exposed treated areas of the skin). Hydroquinone may produce leukoderma (mostly irreversible as melanocytes are destroyed leaving white patches on the skin) if used for a relatively long period of time. It might mask some skin conditions like skin cancers. Avoid contact with eyes. In addition to its desired action, ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause peeling, redness and dryness It may cause tingling, burning and stinging It may cause increase sensitivity to sunlight, increase risk of sunburn and increase possibility of acne-like skin eruption. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to hydroquinone, or any component of the formulation. Do not take ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) is you are taking any medicines that make your skin more sensitive to light, these include medicines used to prevent or treat malaria, like resorcinol and phenol. Taking ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of ERFA Hydroquinone (Hydroquinone) for the fetus. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
