Hydrocortisone m HC 1% Protection (Hydrocortisone) is typically applied sparingly on the affected area no more than 3 to 4 times a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: For external use only. If symptoms worsen or persist more than 7 days, or clear up and occur again within a few days, stop the use of Hydrocortisone m HC 1% Protection (Hydrocortisone) and do not begin any other hydrocortisone product unless directed otherwise by your doctor. In addition to its desired action, Hydrocortisone m HC 1% Protection (Hydrocortisone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause stinging, burning, irritation, dryness, or redness at the application site. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any other component of the formulation, use in or around the eyes, application to large areas, children <2 years of age, treatment for diaper rash. Taking Hydrocortisone m HC 1% Protection (Hydrocortisone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
