Description
Jamp Omeprazole DR (Omeprazole delayed-release) is typically used to treat and prevent acidity and acid reflux. It is typically used for the gastroesophageal reflux disease (a long-term condition where acid from the stomach comes up into the esophagus), the treatment of H. pylori infection and intestinal ulcers (sores) disease by adults as part of an appropriate combination regimen with antibiotics, for the short-term treatment of active intestinal or stomach sores by adults and long-term treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions (excessive production of a bodily secretion), such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, by adults. It may also have other uses.

Jamp Omeprazole DR (Omeprazole delayed-release) is typically taken once in the morning. It can be taken twice daily in combination with antibiotics for other conditions. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. For most indications, administer 30 to 60 minutes before a meal, best if taken before breakfast. If administering twice daily, first dose should be administered before breakfast and the second dose before dinner. Swallow whole, do not chew or crush. WARNING: in patients with hepatic (liver) impairment exposure to omeprazole is increased, dosage reduction is recommended. Also, omeprazole may diminish the therapeutic effect of Clopidogrel (a blood thinner). In addition to its desired action, Jamp Omeprazole DR (Omeprazole delayed-release) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal or stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea or loose stools It may cause dizziness, dry mouth It may cause gas, nausea It may cause headaches, muscle weakness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to omeprazole, other substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitors (similar agents), or any component of the formulation, concomitant use with products that contain rilpivirine Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
