Description
Lumigan RC (Bimatoprost) is an ophthalmic agent. It is typically used to reduce elevated intraocular (in the eye) pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma (eye problem) or ocular hypertension (elevated pressure in the eyes). It may also have other uses.

Lumigan RC (Bimatoprost) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. may be used with other eye drops to lower intraocular pressure. If using more than one ophthalmic product, wait at least 5 minutes in between application of each medication. WARNING: Remove contacts prior to administration and wait 15 minutes before re-inserting. Use with caution in patients with active intraocular (in the eye) inflammation. May permanently change/increase brown pigmentation of the iris (the colored tissue at the front of the eye that contains the pupil in the center), the eyelid skin, eyelashes In addition to its desired action, Lumigan RC (Bimatoprost) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause burning/stinging/irritation/ redness/discomfort of the eye, feeling as if something is in your eye It may cause dry eyes, watering eyes, temporary unstable vision, dizziness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to bimatoprost or any component of the formulation Taking Lumigan RC (Bimatoprost) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, or breastfeeding contact your family doctor. A treatment with Lumigan RC (Bimatoprost) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
