Luxa D Vitamin (Vitamin D3)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Vitamin D is best absorbed when taken after a meal but may be taken with or without food. WARNING: Vitamin D toxicity: May occur with excessive doses, symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, dehydration, fatigue, irritability, confusion, weakness and/or weight loss. In addition to its desired action, Luxa D Vitamin (Vitamin D3) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite, increased thirst. It may cause rash, muscle weakness, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. Contraindications: Do not use if you have hypercalcemia (high blood calcium), primary hyperparathyroidism (a condition in which one or more of your parathyroid glands become overactive and release (secrete) too much parathyroid hormone), sarcoidosis (an inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the lungs and lymph glands, a part of the body's immune system), hypervitaminosis D (high blood vitamin D), decreased kidney function, Williams syndrome (a rare genetic disorder characterized by growth delays before and after birth). Taking Luxa D Vitamin (Vitamin D3) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
