Description
NRA Ramipril (Ramipril) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), heart attacks and heart failure. It may also have other uses.

NRA Ramipril (Ramipril)'s dosage depends on your condition (usual range: 2.5 mg - 20 mg). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow the whole capsule with a full glass of water. You may open the capsule and mix the contents with 120 mL of water, apple juice, or applesauce. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Drugs such as Ramipril can cause injury and death to the developing fetus. Angioedema, a serious allergic reaction that causes the area around the throat and tongue to swell, may occur with Ramipril (especially after the first dose). In black patients, the effects of NRA Ramipril (Ramipril) may be less pronounced. Ramipril may cause a dry, persistent cough that usually disappears after stopping or decreasing the dose. Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease, dose adjustment may be recommended. In addition to its desired action, NRA Ramipril (Ramipril) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause hypotension (low blood pressure), or orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure that happens when standing up from sitting or lying down). It may cause dizziness, flushing, or syncope (fainting). It may cause nausea, vomiting, fatigue, or chest pain. It may cause a dry cough. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Ramipril or other ACE inhibitors (similar agents), or any component of the formulation, angioedema (swelling of the lip, eyes, and face) related to previous treatment with an ACE inhibitor (similar agents), idiopathic (unknown cause) or hereditary angioedema, concomitant use with Aliskiren in patients with diabetes mellitus, coadministration with or within 36 hours of switching to or from a neprilysin inhibitor (e.g., Sacubitril). Taking NRA Ramipril (Ramipril) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with NRA Ramipril (Ramipril) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
