Description
Nyaderm (Nystatin) is a topical antifungal agent. It is typically used to treat some types of fungal infections of the skin. It may also have other uses.

Nyaderm (Nystatin) is typically used twice daily. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Topical nystatin should not be used in the eyes. Apply enough nystatin to cover the affected area. The use of any kind of occlusive dressing (airtight covering, such as kitchen plastic wrap) over this medicine may increase the chance of irritation. Therefore, do not bandage, wrap, or apply any occlusive dressing over this medicine unless directed to do so by your doctor. WARNING: Before you begin using Nyaderm (Nystatin), be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Nyaderm (Nystatin). In addition to its desired action, Nyaderm (Nystatin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause allergic reactions, burning, itching, rash, eczema, pain on application. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to nystatin or any component of the formulation. Taking Nyaderm (Nystatin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product.
