Description

Padcev (Enfortumab Vedotin) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer (a type of cancer that affects the urinary tract, including the bladder). Urothelial cancer occurs when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in the lining of the urinary tract. It may also have other uses.

Padcev (Enfortumab Vedotin)  is usually taken depending on your body weight However, your doctor or pharmacist may suggest a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not take more of this product, or take it more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. PADCEV will be given to you by a healthcare professional in a healthcare setting.

WARNING: Talk about any health conditions or problems you may have, including if you: have a history of high blood sugar or diabetes (high blood sugar), have any of the following skin problems, which could be the sign of a reaction (rash or itching that continues to get worse or comes back after treatment, skin blistering or peeling), if you are currently experiencing numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, have eye problems such as very dry eyes and/or blurred vision, have or have had liver problems, have or have had kidney problems.

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:

It may cause low red blood cells (anemia), low numbers of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils (neutropenia), feeling sick to your stomach (nausea), watery poop (diarrhea) 

It may cause throwing up (vomiting), feeling tired, not wanting to eat (decreased appetite), bad taste in your mouth

Contraindications: Do not use this medication if you have a known allergy (hypersensitivity) to any of its ingredients.

Taking this medication during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.

A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.
