Description
PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid) is an antitubercular agent. It is typically used to treat and prevent tuberculosis (infection that usually affects the lungs). It may also have other uses.

PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take it on an empty stomach,1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. WARNING: Severe and sometimes fatal hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) may occur, usually occurs within the first 3 months of treatment, although may develop even after many months of treatment. Risk is related to age and increased with daily alcohol consumption. Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) problems. Use with caution in patients with renal (kidney) problems. In addition to its desired action, PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause memory impairment, sudden weakness or ill feeling, or fever. It may cause pain in your upper stomach (may spread to your back), nausea, loss of appetite. It may cause dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to isoniazid or any component of the formulation, including drug-induced hepatitis (inflammation of the liver that is caused by a harmful amount of certain medicines), acute liver disease, previous history of hepatic injury during isoniazid therapy, previous severe adverse reaction to isoniazid. Taking PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.PDP Isoniazid (Isoniazid)
