Description
Pifeltro (Doravirine) is an antiviral agent. It is typically used in combination with other antiviral medications to treat HIV infection (a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated, it can lead to AIDS). It may also have other uses.

Pifeltro (Doravirine) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with or without food. WARNING: Doravirine may cause drowsiness or dizziness, affecting your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing other potentially hazardous tasks until you have determined how you are affected by Pifeltro (Doravirine). In addition to its desired action, Pifeltro (Doravirine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, vomiting. It may cause nausea, stomach pain, trouble sleeping, unusual dreams, weakness. Contraindications: If you are allergic to doravirine or any ingredients of the medication, if you are taking any of the following medications: carbamazepine, enzalutamide, mitotane, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin, rifapentine, St. John's wort. Taking Pifeltro (Doravirine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Pifeltro (Doravirine) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Pifeltro (Doravirine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
