Description
PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) is an antiarrhythmic agent. It is typically used to treat certain types of abnormal heart rhythms. It works by changing how electrical impulses affect the heart muscle and by helping the heart to beat more regularly. It may also have other uses.

PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) is typically used twice daily for the treatment of certain cardiac diseases. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. It should be taken without regards to food. WARNING: cardiovascular disease (decrease in blood pressure), severe allergic reaction, be careful if you are diabetic and want to start PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) since using it might lead to low glucose level. To be used with caution in elderly patients since it may lower the blood pressure below normal values. Use with caution in people with kidney disease. In addition to its desired action, PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause heartburn, heart pain, nausea, abdominal pain, jaundice, hepatic disease. It may cause visual disturbances, respiratory difficulty problems. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to sotalol or any component of the formulation, respiratory disease, congenital heart problems. Taking PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PMS Sotalol (Sotalol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
