Description
Qvar without CFC (Beclomethasone) is a corticosteroid agent. It is typically used to prevent and control symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma (respiratory condition causing difficulty in breathing). It may also have other uses.

Qvar without CFC (Beclomethasone) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Do not shake prior to use. Avoid spraying in face or eyes. Rinse your mouth with water (without swallowing) after each use. Do not wash or put inhaler in water, mouthpiece may be cleaned with a dry tissue or cloth. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with major risk factors for decreased bone mineral count such as prolonged immobilization, family history of osteoporosis (bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both), or chronic use of drugs that can reduce bone mass. Use with caution in patients with cataracts and/or glaucoma (eye problems) In addition to its desired action, Qvar without CFC (Beclomethasone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause wheezing, other breathing problems after using the medicine It may cause worsening asthma symptoms, white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips It may cause blurred vision, eye pain, seeing halos around lights, fever It may cause chills, body aches, vomiting, worsening tiredness, lack of energy, weakness, It may cause lightheadedness, nausea, and vomiting Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to beclomethasone or any component of the formulation, status asthmaticus (exacerbation of asthma that remains unresponsive to initial treatment or other acute episodes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma where intensive measures are required), or other acute asthma episodes requiring intensive measures Taking Qvar without CFC (Beclomethasone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Qvar without CFC (Beclomethasone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
