Description
SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat severe infections of the heart, lungs, kidneys, skin, blood, bones, joints, stomach, or female reproductive organs. It may also have other uses.

SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment, dosage adjustment required in patients with moderate to severe kidney dysfunction. Use with caution in patients with central nervous system disorders (a group of neurological disorders that affect the structure or function of the brain or spinal cord) such as history of seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain). Serious and occasionally fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions have been reported in patients receiving therapy with beta-lactams (similar agents). If an allergic reaction to the drug occurs, discontinue the drug immediately. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause allergic reactions, skin rash, hypotension (low blood pressure). It may cause nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, dizziness. It may cause pain at injection site, seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to imipenem/cilastatin or any component of the formulation. Taking SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with SDZ Imipenem Cilastatin (Imipenem Cilastatin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
