Description
Suprefact (Buserelin) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used for the palliative treatment (relieves pain and symptoms but not intended to cure disease) of patients with advanced prostate cancer (cancer that has spread from the prostate to other parts of the body) and for the treatment of endometriosis (a painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus). It may also have other uses.

Suprefact (Buserelin)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer at equal time intervals, before first application, pump bottle several times in upright position until a uniform mist is released, priming may need to be repeated after storing between uses. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with additional risk factors for osteoporosis (a health condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break). It is recommended to periodically monitor bone mineral density (test to measure your bone health) and use preventative measures during therapy to prevent osteoporosis. In addition to its desired action, Suprefact (Buserelin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause decrease in sexual desire, dizziness, headache, nausea. It may cause sudden sweating and feeling of warmth (hot flushes). It may cause trouble sleeping, nasal dryness, weakness, weight gain. Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to buserelin or any component of the formulation, patients who do not present with hormone-dependent prostate cancer (cancer that is dependent on a hormone for growth and/or survival), patients who have undergone orchiectomy (the surgical removal of one or both testicles). Taking Suprefact (Buserelin) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Suprefact (Buserelin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Suprefact (Buserelin)
