Description
Teva Prazosin (Prazosin) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension). It may also have other uses.

Teva Prazosin (Prazosin) is typically given two to three times a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may be taken with or without food, at the same time every day. Swallow the whole tablet with a full glass of water. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. Do not break, crush, or chew. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Prazosin can cause severe dizziness, lightheadedness, and reduced mental alertness. This medication may cause significant orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing) and fainting with sudden loss of consciousness, especially within 30 to 90 minutes of the first dose. In addition to its desired action, Teva Prazosin (Prazosin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause palpitations (rapid, strong, or irregular heartbeat). It may cause headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, or fatigue. It may cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. It may cause blurred vision, chest pain, or frequent urge to urinate. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Prazosin or any component of the formulation. Taking Teva Prazosin (Prazosin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Teva Prazosin (Prazosin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
