Description
Votrient (Pazopanib) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used for the treatment of adults with advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). It is also used for the treatment of adults with advanced soft tissue sarcoma (cancers that start in soft tissues like fat, muscle, nerves, blood vessels, or deep skin tissues) who have received prior chemotherapy (cancer treatment). It may also have other uses.

Votrient (Pazopanib) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal. WARNING: Very bad and sometimes deadly liver problems have happened with this drug. Monitor liver function, and interrupt, reduce or discontinue dosing as recommended. Call your doctor right away if you have signs of liver problems like dark urine, feeling tired, not hungry, upset stomach or stomach pain, light-colored stools, throwing up, or yellow skin or eyes. In addition to its desired action, Votrient (Pazopanib) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause bradycardia (slow heart rate), hypertension (high blood pressure), peripheral edema (swelling). It may cause alopecia (hair loss), hair discoloration, dizziness, blurred vision. It may cause abdominal pain, decreased appetite, diarrhea, bleeding, sleep disorders. Contraindications: Do not take Votrient (Pazopanib) if you are allergic to Pazopanib or any ingredients of the medication. Do not give Votrient (Pazopanib) to children under 2 years of age. Taking Votrient (Pazopanib) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Votrient (Pazopanib) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Votrient (Pazopanib)
