Zerbaxa (Ceftolozane Tazobactam) is an antibiotic. It is usually used to treat certain bacterial infections of the lungs, stomach, or urinary tract. It may also have other uses.

Zerbaxa (Ceftolozane Tazobactam)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer Zerbaxa (Ceftolozane Tazobactam) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: It may cause hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis (allergic reaction). If an anaphylactic reaction to ZERBAXA occurs, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate therapy should be started. In addition to its desired action, Zerbaxa (Ceftolozane Tazobactam) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting. It may cause low blood pressure, headache. It may cause skin rash, sleep disorders. Contraindications: Serious hypersensitivity to ceftolozane/tazobactam, piperacillin/tazobactam, other members of the beta-lactam class (similar agents), or any component of the formulation. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, or breastfeeding contact your family doctor. A treatment with Zerbaxa (Ceftolozane Tazobactam) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
