Description
Ceenu (Lomustine) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat hodgkin’s disease (cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system) and brain cancer, both primary (developed in the brain) and metastatic (spread outside the brain). It may also have other uses.

Ceenu (Lomustine) is typically used as a single dose every 6 weeks. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It should be taken with fluids on an empty stomach, no food or drink for 2 hours after to decrease incidence of nausea and vomiting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with renal (kidney) impairment, may require dosage adjustment. In addition to its desired action, Ceenu (Lomustine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause bone marrow depression (a condition in which the production of red blood cells, white blood cells, and/or platelets by bone marrow stem cells is inhibited) nausea, vomiting. It may cause kidney failure, hair loss. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to lomustine or any component of the formulation. Taking Ceenu (Lomustine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Ceenu (Lomustine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
