Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease (it may cause changes to the normal rhythm of the heart), glaucoma (increased eye pressure), hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid, a gland in the neck), or seizure disorders. In addition to its desired action, Bricanyl Turbuhaler (Terbutaline turbuhaler) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nervousness, shakiness, trouble sleeping, or hyperactivity. It may cause dry throat, cough, or nausea. It may cause an increased heart pressure or heart rate, dizziness, or headache. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Terbutaline, sympathomimetic amines (agents that increase blood pressure), or any component of the formulation.
