Description
PPC Tobramycin (Tobramycin) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat bacterial infections of the blood, bone, respiratory tract (chest), skin and other soft tissues, protective layers of the brain (meninges), and urinary tract. It may also have other uses.

PPC Tobramycin (Tobramycin) is typically given every 8 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. It can either be injected into the muscle (intramuscular) or into the veins (intravenous). WARNING: Overusing Tobramycin may cause an overgrowth of bacteria or fungi that will not be killed. This means that This medication or other medications containing Tobramycin may not work for you in the future. Tobramycin may cause hearing loss (ototoxicity), dizziness, or kidney problems (nephrotoxicity). Patients who suffer from Parkinson’s disease (a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement) or Myasthenia gravis (a chronic neuromuscular disease) should use this product with caution, as it might worsen muscle weakness. It may cause paralysis of certain muscles (neuromuscular blockade). Tobramycin can cause harm to the fetus when administered to a pregnant woman. In addition to its desired action, PPC Tobramycin (Tobramycin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause pain at the injection site. It may cause headaches, dizziness, and confusion. It may cause hearing loss or ringing in the ear (tinnitus). It may cause diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Tobramycin or any ingredient found in the formulation. Do not use this product if you are allergic to Tobramycin, or antibiotics, such as Amikacin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, paromomycin, or Streptomycin. Taking PPC Tobramycin (Tobramycin) during pregnancy may be harmful to the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. If you're planning a pregnancy, become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PPC Tobramycin (Tobramycin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
