R&C 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner (Piperonyl Butoxide Pyrethrins) is typically used as a single application. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Do not use any other product in your hair before using this product. This medication should be applied on dry hair. Soak your hair as well as the skin of the infested area using at least 25 mL of product. If you have thick or long hair, you should use more than 25 mL. Leave the product on for 10 minutes. Work the product into your hair and skin by using small amounts of water to create a lather. Rinse the product out thoroughly. Comb wet hair with a regular comb to remove tangles. Then, separate a strand of hair no wider than the nit comb and use the nit comb to remove the dead lice and their nits. Wipe off the comb and repeat until all hair has been combed with the nit comb.

WARNING: If accidental swallowing occurs, call your doctor or a local poison control centre immediately. Drink a large amount of water or milk. Do not induce vomiting. For colored, dyed, or permed hair: before using this product on colored, dyed, or permed hair, test it on a patch of hair first. If there is no reaction, it is safe to use the product as directed. The safety and effectiveness of R&C 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner (Piperonyl Butoxide Pyrethrins) have not been established for children under 2 years of age.

In addition to its desired action, R&C 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner (Piperonyl Butoxide Pyrethrins) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause infection (e.g., skin redness, swelling, warmth, or discharge) or skin irritation (e.g., redness, stinging, swelling, itching, pain) 

Contraindications: allergy to pyrethrins, synthetic pyrethroids, chrysanthemum, ragweed, or to any of the ingredients of the medication.

Taking R&C 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner (Piperonyl Butoxide Pyrethrins) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product.
