Description

Taro Terconazole (Terconazole) is an antifungal agent. It is usually used to treat vaginal yeast infections (a fungal infection that causes irritation, discharge and intense itchiness of the vagina— the vagina is the elastic, muscular part of the female genital tract and the vulva — the tissues at the vaginal opening). It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Taro Terconazole (Terconazole) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Use applicator provided by manufacturer. Insertion should be as far as possible into the vagina (the vagina is the elastic, muscular part of the female genital tract and the vulva) without causing discomfort. Wash applicator after each use, allow to dry thoroughly before putting back together.
WARNING: Check with your doctor if your condition does not improve after treatment. Failure to improve may also mean that the infection may not be fungal, or that another infection may have developed.
In addition to its desired action, Taro Terconazole (Terconazole) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches, chills, pain.
It may cause abdominal pain, fever.
It may cause dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation, typically involving abdominal cramps), vaginal burning.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to terconazole or any component of the formulation. Taking Taro Terconazole (Terconazole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby.
