Additional information
Tobradex (Tobramycin Dexamethasone) is typically given as 1.25 cm (one-half inch) ribbon applied into the eye (along the edge of the lower eyelid) up to 3 or 4 times daily, or use in addition to the drops at bedtime. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may cause increased tearing, metallic taste, and headache. It may cause nausea and stomach upset. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tobramycin, dexamethasone, or any component of the formulation. Patients with viral diseases of the eye, mycobacterial infection (bacterial infection) of the eye, or fungal diseases of the eye should not use Tobradex (Tobramycin Dexamethasone).
