Description
Voranigo (Vorasidenib) is an anticancer medication. It is typically used to treat adults and children 12 years of age and older with certain types of brain tumors called astrocytoma or oligodendroglioma with an isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 (IDH1) or isocitrate dehydrogenase-2 (IDH2) mutation, following surgery. It may also have other uses.

Voranigo (Vorasidenib) is typically used once daily at the same time every day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. You may take it with or without food. Swallow tablets whole with water. Do not split, crush or chew the tablets. If you miss a dose of Voranigo (Vorasidenib) by less than 6 hours, take the missed dose right away. If you miss a dose by more than 6 hours, skip the dose for that day. Take your next dose at your usual time. If you vomit after taking Voranigo (Vorasidenib), do not take an extra dose. Take your next dose at your usual time. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: You should use effective non-hormonal birth control during treatment with Voranigo (Vorasidenib) and for 3 months after the last dose. Voranigo (Vorasidenib) may affect how hormonal contraceptives (birth control) work and cause them not to work well. Talk to your healthcare provider about birth control methods that may be right for you during treatment with Voranigo (Vorasidenib). Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements. Voranigo (Vorasidenib) may affect the way other medicines work and other medicines may affect how Voranigo (Vorasidenib) works. Do not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 months after the last dose. Monitor liver function tests every 2 weeks during the first 2 months of treatment, then monthly for the first 2 years of treatment, and as clinically indicated. In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause increased liver enzyme levels in the blood. It may cause lack of energy, tiredness, headache, muscle aches or stiffness. It may cause diarrhea, nausea, or seizures. It may cause increased susceptibility to infections such as COVID-19. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Vorasidenib or any component of the formulation. Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.
